Kalbach is eager to hit the independent festival realm in latin America. The film's international cast and crew as well as the limited resources and shoestring budget used to produce the movie make it very appealing to private investors and distribution markets.

Panama's La Prensa bumps into the Tres Vagos

Tres Vagos Films make head news in one of Panama's most prestigious news papers, Prensa. With $1,500 cash and a six suitecases full of gear three friends, or Vagos, land in Panama's Casco Viejo district to undertake what seems like a pipe dream. With only days to aquire locations, cast and crew Alejandro Guimoye, Nick Kalbach, and Devon Lee prepare to shoot the film El Viaje de Ana Maria. Based on a true story, the film deals with the supernatural world we live in and what happens when a young girl crosses over.
